Fuel Injection problem. HELP!

Hi everyone,

I have a 2005 6.0L

We did the head gaskets, i made it about 50 - 60 Miles then the dashboard and steering wheel started to violently shake. The mechanic who did the head gaskets came and picked it up. turns out we lost the drivers side bank of cyl. the heads ended up seeing alot of heat and we needed to do some valves. so i decided to replace both heads. And Fuel filters. also number 8 injector Now its back together and he fires it up it will run. it starts to missfire on #6 then 4,2 and 8(the one we just replaced)... He tried a FICM from another truck, didnt help.

Where to next??

I appreciate all the support.

Thanks

Braden

Fuel Injection problem. HELP!

I would also say look at the harness sence it's all on one side. Did he not have the head machined and checked for cracks? I wouldn't pay him again to tear it back down if he didn't.

it's combustion gas bleed back. guaranteed. from cyl 6. it's textbook
either the sealing washer is not sealing, or the injector is stuck open

i think what i'd do here is first confirm that you do have combustion gas entering the fuel system (which i'm positive you do). then, swap injectors 6 and 8. use new seal kits for both injectors and make sure the hold downs are torqued correctly. if the problem ceases, it was the sealing washer. if the problem now starts in cyl 8, replace that injector. this way you're killing 2 birds with one stone. you're figuring out the problem from 2 possibilities and possibly fixing it at the same time

to check for comb. gas in the fuel system, remove the secondary fuel filter. remove the ficm relay. have someone crank the engine and watch for bubbles coming up into the fuel port
