Uh oh...??

I noticed some oil on the ground and didn't think it was from my truck but couldn't help checking to verify that by crawling under for a better look. Fresh oil streaked from that back of the motor. I checked the oil level and it's high. I gotta get it to the dealer to check my injectors. My Livewire will be in tomorrow but, it looks like I won't be installing it for a while now.

At least it happened before the tuner so no worries there, right?

Yeah it should be under warranty. I've got an exhaust, leveling kit, aftermarket tires/wheels, and rear air bags on my truck. I don't see how any of that could even be remotely related to what's happening. I just got off the phone with the service rep. and he said they are booked up until early next week. "Go ahead and drive it and keep checking the oil level when cold", he said. I think they are dodging the rental fee but, whatever. I have another vehicle to drive and will do that to reduce the risk of high wear from so much fuel in the oil.

So other than injectors, what else can cause the oil level to raise? I assume it's fuel that's causing it to be high since it shows no sign of water but there's no way to be sure without an oil analysis or diagnosis. S/R said he suspects the HPOP since I have a leak. But I don't know enough about this motor to know if the fuel could enter the oil system if it went bad. I'm guessing it could since it's function is to boost the fuel pressure. I learn a little more about it every time I have a problem.

HPOP isn't going to raise your oil level in your motor though. Sounds like you may have more than one thing going on. What year is your truck?

I didn't think so but, I don't personally know this S/A.(they have a high turnover at this dealer) I don't like to discount what they say unless they have given me a reason to. Looks like he's giving me a reason. I suggested the injectors and he cut me off saying HPOP. I wasn't going to argue with him so I just told him to set me an apointment. It's an 03 BTW
