Exclamation HELP, power steering

dad ,70 years old, put water in his power steering reservoir and drove app. 20 miles. how do i flush it and get it going again? 05 f 350 srw

this is a tough one to get out honestly....and will be messy. Look behind the bumper...you will see a small cooler. This is the PS cooler. disconnect one line from it....and put a drain pan under it. Let it drain as much as possible...then take about a quart of ATF and put it in the PS resevour and fire the truck up for a few seconds. Its gonna make a mess.....fill the resevour up and do this again. Do this about three times......honestly the pump might not make it after having water run through it. Make sure to drain as much water out of the resevour as possible before you start.....

thanks. fluid is already milky. take top line or bottom off of cooler?
