NEW MOTOR IN A 2004
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS IN THE PAST, WHAT A GREAT BUNCH OF GUYS!
I WAS CURIOUS AS TO WHAT EXACTLY YOU ARE GETTING WHEN THEY DECIDE TO PUT A NEW MOTOR IN YOUR TRUCK. IS THIS A NEW MOTOR, OR IS IT A MOTOR THAT CAME OUT OF A NOTHER TRUCK THAT HAD PROBLEMS SO THEY PULLED IT AND SENT IT BACK REBUILT IT THEN SEND IT BACK OUT? I UNDERSTAND THAT SENSE MINE IS A 2004 WITH THE 6.0L THAT I WOULD BE GETTING ANOTHER 6.0L. I THOUGHT THEY QUIT MAKING THAT MOTOR ALTOGETHER. SO WHERE IS IT COMING FROM? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSES. STROKEITDUDE |

Just because they can't put them in at the factory anymore doesn't mean they quit making them. If you are getting a new motor, for whatever reason, then simply ask your dealership if you're getting new or remaned. Personally I'd rather have a quality reman than brand new IF it's done correctly, but that's just my preference. I'm fairly certain they both come with the same warranty no matter what.
