PO148 code??
Had a very hard start this morning with lots of black smoke. Scanned my truck on my SCT tuner and got a po148 fuel delivery error. My truck is a 2005 6.0 with 210k on it. Need some help running this one down.

Not mine, but you can see in that thread one that did have this issue. Yeah, it's old, but it ended up being the PCM on this guy's truck. (I just did a search to help find info for you)
This I found on another post: There are several things that can cause that code, including interference or "noise" on the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor circuits. It could be a faulty PCM (not likely), it could be that your PCM needs to be "reflashed", or it could be as simple as getting a bad tank of fuel. forddieseldoctor posted this: taken right out of the pced book for your truck: AT5 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0148 Possible causes: Fuel quality Crankshaft position (CKP) or camshaft position (CMP) signal noise Retrieve and record all engine and transmission DTCs. Is DTC P0148 present? Yes: CARRY OUT a drive cycle. REFER to Section 2 . REFLASH the PCM. If DTC P0148 is present again, INSTALL a new PCM. |
