05 Will Not Idle!
Ive got a 2005 F350 6.0 that will not idle. I can keep it running with my foot on the pedal. Ive replaced injectors, stand pipes, dummy plugs, hpop stc fitting, deleted egr, replaced oil cooler, replaced all orings and seals on top of engine, air filter, fuel filters, oil filter, fuel pressure regulator, and the entire gas pedal assm. and glow plugs.
On a cold start, or after its been sitting over 30 minutes I have to crank for a long time, at least 10 seconds after oil pressure gauge reads which is almost 30 seconds of crank time. When its cold it will belch like it wants to start then quit immediately then after 2 or three burps it will fire up and idle fine for about 2 minutes then dies. If it is already warm it will belch and die continually unless I put my foot to the floor on the go pedal, and even sometimes then it will burp and die.
From what I know, this seems to be a hpo issue. I did not replace the hpop, IPR, or ICP as I ran out of $$$$$. The things I replaced were the items dealer told me were bad after I paid them $110 For diagnosis and them telling me somewhere along the lines of $8500 to repair and still not being able to guarantee anything(they said to buy a new trucl). I did replace the oil feed tube to the turbo because I buggered it up during removal.
I do not currently have a scan tool that will tell me anything other than generic codes which has not helped me diagnose anything but a corroded wire to ABS sensor.
I ordered Auto Enginuity with the Ford bundle that should arrive by wednesday.
I would appreciate any input on these issues as I am just really trying to make this truck run right. I plow snow and its real rough on everything to have to hold my foot down on the gas to keep it running. I constantly am brake torquing and its aweful switching from D to R....Bang
Thanks In Advance.
