Alternator Swap Please help

Hello,so this is my first thread and i need some help swapping out my alternator on my 03 6.0. So my batteries were tested and alternator was putting out only 30amp. So i bought a 110 amp alternator w a lifetime warranty. Could have paid more for the motorcraft w a year warranty. No brainer for me.! Does anyone have pics of where the tensioner is? Do i need the powerstroke tool to get the job done? Any tips that will help me out? Please help! Thanks

I don't have a picture but the tensioner is below the alt, you need a 3/8 ratchet and it is pretty tight.
Some people just use a bar on the belt to pull up on tensioner and slide alt under the belt and rock it back into place then putting in bolts. I used ratchet with a 3/4 pipe for a cheater to make it easy.
My opinion you should put on a bigger alt.

The tensioner is just below the alternator and it is a pain, but you need a 1/2 inch ratchet, I use a rachet and a cheater pipe...

What amperage is yours? I cannot find a high amperage alt in stock in phoenix. I need it by tomorrow.

1. To use this ya need to be pretty strong.
2. The little latch mechanism still needs to be there. The latch is stainless but the mounting pin is just a roll pin and rusts off or is easily broken.
