Not sure what to title this, Engine stuttering, kinda

Alright, So i have an 06 6.0 Auto with 79kmiles Straight pipe MBRP only Mod. Here is what happened.

I came to a stop light and was sitting there for a few minutes. Light turned green and i pressed the accelerator and the truck wouldnt move, kept Stuttering as if in limp mode or something and then looked behind me and there was a HUGE cloud of blackish grey smoke, i put it in Nuetral and then drive and it went like nothing happened and the smoke dissipated.

The truck didnt throw any CEL and i havent really ahd time to looka t my insight CS to see if ic ant find anything abnormal ( not 100% is the Insight CS logs anything like that.

Either way im clueless except for t fact it almost felt like the brakes were on but they werent. Is my tranny going or whachya think. Truck runs fine now, this was a one time deal.

Had something like this happen to me when my cam position sensor went..but shortly afterwards it threw a code and it happened at random. Changing gears didn't seem to fix it though, just went away after a moment. Hopefully the insight stored a code of whatever happened and you'll know what you're looking for.
