Should my oil be this black?
Hi all,
I change my oil every 5,000 miles religiously. I use full synthetic oil too. I've noticed that my oil is REALLY black every time I change my oil. Is this normal? My truck seems to be running well, but I've never had oil come out of a vehicle that's this black, unless it was neglected and run for like 20,000 miles or something. So, is this a diesel thing, or are there other potential problems I should be looking at? By the way, my truck has 55,000 miles on it now. Thanks, Dozer PS I searched first, but the search tool doesn't let me search for 'oil'. |
