Thermostat stuck open?

Hey guys, I've got another work truck that I'm driving home tonight with the scanner hooked up to it the current outside temperature is about 48 I've been driving this for about a half an hour down the freeway the warmest it has gotten up to is 165 thought I saw another thread about this but can't find it. Sound like a stuck open thermostat to you guys?Thermostat stuck open?-imageuploadedbyautoguide1358214017.304384.jpg

I took a gutted one out of a truck yesterday. I don't undersatnd why people do this, the t-stats fail to the open position. The one that I had even had good deltas AND heat with a new t-stat.

Thermostat stuck open?

Fail to the open position is better than the alternative.
