Thermostat stuck open?

Hey guys, I've got another work truck that I'm driving home tonight with the scanner hooked up to it the current outside temperature is about 48° I've been driving this for about a half an hour down the freeway the warmest it has gotten up to is 165° thought I saw another thread about this but can't find it. Sound like a stuck open thermostat to you guys?

Nah, Ford thermostats usually fail open.

I took a gutted one out of a truck yesterday. I don't undersatnd why people do this, the t-stats fail to the open position. The one that I had even had good deltas AND heat with a new t-stat.

This happened to me at about 125K and now again 2 days ago at 247K it just did it again. I will replace it Saturday!
