2004 6.0 Turbo trouble
Got a little 04 6.0 to beat around in, and when I was driving it home, sounds like a boot or something had split near the turbo. In the cab witht he windows rolled up it sounds like the turbo is spooling way up and leaking some where. I got my buddy to help me look for it, no air coming anywhere from around the boots, but we power braked it and directly around the turbo sounds like a bowing 747 powering up for take off, and it wouldnt go over 1500 RPMs getting about 15 psi, and the tires wouldnt break loose
Nailed it on the way back home and only would get up to 11psi as I had put my DashDaq in there to see what it was doing.I was thinking possibly cracked turbo housing?? any ideas |

This sounds familiar except I have 20 psi.

Ended up being a boot that comes right off the turbo, after motor warmed up I power braked it again, it slowly climbed to 10 psi after a few seconds the rpms climbed and ended up seeing 22psi and burnt the hell out of the tires, if I figure out how to upload a video ill post it up.
