Batery draw down
Gentlemen, I have a 2005 dually with 77,000 miles on it. It was bulletproof one year ago and has an Edge Juice set on the mileage setting. Run great! I live in central Ohio, and now with cold mornings starting has been a real pain. Replaced the batteries and it started like a charm. Now after two weeks the batteries will draw down in less than 24 hours. 60 degrees this morning and the batteries are at 75%. Last week at 20 degrees the batteries were 55%. in less than 24 hours. Charging system checked out, no problems. Any Ideas where the draw down is??? Is it the Juice. Need some Ideas Thanks POOP

Too many short trips. Alternator not throwing enough voltage. Dirty or loose battery connections. Hood light switch. Any number of delay solenoids not releasing. Computer/PCM not shutting down. A powered switch need replacing (not enough volts to see item running, but it draws).
These can be a PITA to find, and some are intermittent. Works fine for 2 months, then bites you when you need to use it. |
