6.0 high rpm cut out

hey guys i need some help! i've got an 05 f250 6.0 psd. i just installed a sct programmer, 4in turbo back-cat removed, and k&n fipk. with the cat on the truck it was fine but not impressive. without the cat in the street or performance mode program it starts to cut out at @3500 rpm. worse in the performce setting. is it possible there's not enough backpressure? could it be the program? the truck only seems to accept the tow setting without any problems.

sounds to me like you need to get in contact with SCT and see what they say....if it was going to have backpressure problems i would expect them to happen at low RPM situations not high......

ok thanks marc. i've talked with them before and they were not very helpful, but i guess i need to stay on them till they help me. im just hoping they're not going to tell me to spend more money with them for a custom tune. then i will have to eat the 400 dollars and start shopping for another programmer again!

if they give you any problems, you might contact Discount power parts. I dont know if larry and pat can do anything for ya if ya didnt buy it from them, but it would be worth a try. Both are awsome to deal with and may be able to help.
