10 of 2005 F-550 Power Stroke NO START

Ive got a 10 of 2005 ford f-550 power stroke diesel with only 53000 well taken care of miles. All of a sudden one day truck will not start,,spins over normal and seems like its going to start but sorta kicks/snaps as its gonna fire but then dont and if you continue to spin over it will not do anything. During the snapping/cracking like its got a short or something its pushing allot of black out tail pipe. If you try it maybe 10-20 times all of a sudden its fires and if you dont shut it off it runs and drives perfectly. Shut it off and it will start over and over again,,let it sit overnight and its a 50/50,,may fire but most likely will not and starts the same deal all over again--turn over it cracks/snaps/while black stacking out pipe then spins and dont do anything. If you get it running like i said it runs perfect. Oil and filters are resent,,no codes at all,,nothing. Any help apreciated greatly,,Thank You!

You could have a blown dummy plug or feed tube blown letting oil to bleed by.

Is it stock? Does it still have the EGR valve?

Pull the EGR valve and clean it. That could be what's causing the black smoke and your no start.

Your first post said it's pushing a lot of black smoke. Have you checked the FICM voltage?

Yes black smoke when its at the no start stage,,it black stacks only whene it cracks and attempts to fire sorta as if wrong timing or something,,if you never stop turning the engine over it will stop that and do zero but spin and spin and spin. Leave it overnight and it may start like the day it was born,,no smoke,,no cracking//snapping smoke nothing..drive it its fine shut it off it fires no problem,,yet leave it and its 50x50 if it will run or not. no didnt check ficm voltage but in morn i will.
