have you checked for codes? do that first.
if no codes, check the ficm voltage KOEO cold, then cranking, and then KOER. see if it drops below 46v. if not, it's likely gonna be some failing injectors |

no codes, I'm leaning towards the ficm, wouldn't injectors run like crap all the time or at least be intermittent.I'm going to check voltage this weekend before my Seahawks whoop that falcon ***.STROKEDIS

hard start/rough run cold are symptoms of either the injectors or ficm or both. often times the ficm voltage is low which causes the failure of injectors. so if the voltage is low and you replace/repair the ficm, don't be surprised if you find some failed injectors as well after reinstalling the ficm. also, anytime the ficm is condemned, i'd recommend a thorough charging system test be performed as well

Just a shot in the dark but are you running dino oil or synthetic? I final changes over to T5 rotella and it made a night and day diffrence in the cold morning starting habits. And after the Archoil treatment its even better.
Something to consider anyhow. Oil change is pretty easy compared to injectors... |
