Clutch Fan

After doin a BPD oil cooler and EGR cooler, I've noticed that my cooling fan stays on . Not fully loaded just enough you can noticed it on from inside of cab as you shift threw the gears. When engine off you can spin fan by hand, turn key to on not running its still hand free. Its not turbo whine on acc gear whine , its the fan turning just slower than the engine speed. At these times engine temps are ECT 183 EOT 150 with no load . When loaded with 5th wheel temps runnin at 195/180 with no change in fan noise. When fan is unplugged then driven no fan noise, plug back in noise is back .

If you are speaking of the coolant and oil temp senors , yes . Also I have rechecked the fan connection again . I have yet to get it hot enough to have the fan fully load , short of putting a piece of cardboard infront of the radiator. The fan was not removed during the installation just the belt. Have no codes, really no problems just the sound of the fan turning I'm guessing about 20-30 percent,,,ollllo

The fan is on a viscous coupling. It will turn even when the engine is cold. Perfectly normal.

While I know it is suppose to act like this , I've had this truck since new . Put all 130k on it . What I am saying is this is not the way it has run for the last 130k miles . It is a new detail in its running manner, the only time in the past when the fan made any sound was when water temps were above 230 degrees . It would lock up cool down unlock and u would not hear it for any other reason . Now it is audible at low water temp, low ambien temp, the day before the work was done on oil and egr coolers you could not hear the fan . While I'm not overly concerned about the noise, just trying to figure what I did or not to cause the fan to load alittle faster then it use to be.,,,,, ollllo
