Toasted head gaskets?

got Xdp coolant filter for Christmas installed,re-filled,drove. Everyone's happy, 3 days later after a longer drive i notice my temp gauge is low check about 1/2-1/4 gallon low, add coolant drive home and around(longer) now its super FULL above the max line. Check the next few days with no change, today i drive home from visiting my gf(3 hrs away) and see some steaming when i get off the highway and the end of the drive and smell some coolant. Home is like 3 mi. away so drive steady home pop the hood and looks like she puked take the cap off and its up to the max line. I used the block tester fluid at work around the time i got the tuner(12/17) and they passed according to blue fluid. Did i overfill and this was just her final burp? or am in serious trouble? any help would be awesome

Let it cool completely off, drain coolant level to 1/4" below the minimum line and replace degas cap with OEM cap and monitor. Would say it was overfilled.
