I want to run a thicker oil in my 6.0 , How thick can i go

And the purpose being???? During winter most people want to go the other way and run light oil even to synthetics.

I have a small leak at the high presure oil pump, truck won't start back up after it gets hot , so i was told to run thicker oil untill i get fixed

Ahhh ok that will work for a while as long as the leak stays small enough. Once it gets large enough even that wont work anymore Just so ya know. I have heard a few people say they ran 20 weight, but they also never reported how well it ran with it in it.

Personally I do not recomend it.
