turbo problm?

Code po299 turbo underboost condition.tried stock tune didn't help.truck has no power ..are the turbo vaines stuck open?how do I diagnose?what could it be? Any help greatly apreciated

Check map sensor hose and nipple for clogging, map hose torn/split, cac hoses torn/loose, exhaust leaks.

Thanks ill check those in the am and let u know how I make out.another question I had was.I'm not.getting better mpg with a sct street tune do u think a custom tune will get better mpg

Ya as tempting as it is I've never run the race tune to play it safe I just run a moderate street tune.had a banks and got another 3 mpg now I got sct and not getting any mpg

It was map sensor..I cleaned it than ran great .it had oil on it.only on cold starts truck smokes blue.what r the ways oil can b getting in my turbo?

Thanks for the update. The ccv allows a small amount of oil in the cac and intake over time, sometimes it's not a bad idea to pull the cac and drain it out. Other than that, the turbo seals can go bad. Others have found that switching to a good synthetic oil helps. Alot of us run rotella t6 with good results. A small bit of blue smoke is otherwise not uncommon.

Thanks again ...I run ford powerstroke oil with Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer,and in fuel I always run treatment Lucas upper cylinder file additive in winter howes
