05 with hpo problem

i wanted to get some opinions on this 05 with 170,000 miles it went dead on me the other day and will not restart. I was pulling into the parking lot at work and it started running like crap i looked at my scangauge and my icp was about 490psi it cleared up and icp went to 1200psi then it just died when trying to restart the icp starts at 200psi and slowly drops the longer you spin it over that is trying it cold. what i have done so far is take the ipr valve out and the screen was pushed in but not broke.i unplugged the icp to see still did not crank. I have replaced the standpipes and dummy plugs a couple months ago along with the ipr valve. A well respected ford diesel mechanic says it sounds like to him a ipr valve problem just looking for more input.

When you replaced the stand pipes and dummy plugs, did you replace the STC fitting on the HPOP? If not, that's most likely the culprit.

Yes, fixing leaks puts more stress on the weaker parts.

I forgot to mention the stc fitting it was replaced about a year ago

my problem ended up being the ipr valve it was stuck open got it figured out now it runs like a champ.

Did you have any codes? I'm hoping mine is just a sensor and not a leak. It died and wouldn't start, towed it back home and went out the next day and it started up and idled fine, raised the RPM's to 1500 and it died and wouldn't start again. I had a ICP circuit low code off and on so I replaced it with no change. IPR is next I guess. I don't have any way to check the hpo pressures. I deleted the EGR and replaced the oil cooler about two weeks before this happened. Wondering if maybe some trash got in there even though I was being extra careful. The old screen under the oil cooler was broken when I pulled it out.

i did not have any codes on mine. really need a way to check your hpo pressure and your icp% it is possible trash got in there if you take your IPR off and the screen on it is missing or pushed in then that may be all it is. where in MS are you located
