Garrett Powermax No Whistle

I installed a new powermax today on my 2003 F250 6.0 @ 164,500 miles. I was expecting to hear the whistle like in the stock turbo but there's no whistle at all

Do I need custom tunes to get the whistle back?

I still have the stock exhaust on it, not sure if this makes a big difference.

Good deal, I've been I'm thinking about getting the MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust w/o the muffler and kitty. I'll probably put the order in second week in January after all the holidays.

Oh man, I thought it would have at least a slight whistle from what I had read online

I ran the truck for about 15 miles and checked for DTC's and got the P132B again.I hope there's nothing going on that throws this code besides the turbo. I went ahead and cleared all the DTC's and am going to drive it some more and hopefully the P132b won't return

I did too until I started reading more threads and asking questions. Do you have an after market air intake?

At least it's good to know that there's nothing wrong with the turbo because that was my first thought after not hearing the whistle lol. I thought maybe I had done something wrong.

It has a stock intake, I've been wanting an S&B, what are your thoughts on S&B intake?

I'm really going to miss that whistle...

I personally like the stock intake but a friend of mine has the S&B on his Ex and really likes it. Sometimes an after market intake will cause that code.

I'll probably keep the stock intake for a while since I replaced the air filter today. Is there anything else that causes the P132b? Hopefully it doesn't come up again.
