6.0 rad cap
Been running my 06 F-250 since 08, 110k miles no issues to speak of, northern alberta winters. Oil and coolant filters, synthetic oil only. Heard the coolant caps have been failing - might explain alot of the problems the 6.0 has had. Bad cap - low coolant pressure - lower boiling point - egr cooler boils - fails - hydraulics engine - stretched head bolts, etc. I have a rad cap pressure kit, cheap insurance on a 10k engine. New cap doesn't mean it's good.

Your right, having a new cap doesn't mean everything is good. If you haven't already get a device like an Edge CS/CTS to monitor your trucks vitals. It's worth every penny as it'll save you alot when something is ready to go out.

No, the only thing that's good is having a monitor.
