injector problems;

How do I change an injector on my 04 6.0. The Dealer just told me the #8 injector is no good. I could use some advice and instructions to change it because I have never done one before. Any help would be awseome!! Thanks.

Why would you want to do it yourself unless the warranty is expired...do you have over 100k miles on it?
Those injectors are 350 bucks EACH so let the warranty cover it if you can.

It is not difficult at all, and unlike the 7.3's, there isnt much risk of hydrolocking the motor....BUT....it is a very long process....lots of steps and tons of ways to mess things up. I would be willing to help you with it.....PM me and we will go from there....

You mention 100,000 miles. How long are the injectors warranted for?? I have a 2003 with 92,000 miles and possibly a bad injector.
Thanks.

injectors are warrantied for 5 years or 100,000 miles....whatever comes first. There are exeptions though....branded (salvage or flood damaged titles) or other titles from damaged vehicles could have the warranty shortaned. I beleave all base warranty is ended whenever a title is branded and only emmissions remail. On on a superduty, i think the emmissions warranty is 50,000 on a branded vehicle
