Turn off Truck, wait Few Minutes -> Turn on -> Black Smoke

The truck in question is a 2004 F250 6.0 Diesel. The issue is that while driving the truck around, everything is okay. But lets say we were to turn off the truck and wait 3 minutes, then start the truck back up; it is insanely smokey. Black smoke everywhere for a few minutes, then it dissipates and everything is back to normal. Any ideas?!?!

Best regards,

Chris

If EGR checks ok you may have one or more injectors sticking allowing too much fuel in the cylinder. If the amount is small enough to still burn it will cause a rich burn condition and black smoke. If it is too much it will get blown into the ehaust manifold and be burned by hot exhaust gases giving a white/grey smoke.
