04 coolant issue

I have a 2004 350 6.0 that is stock except for 4 inch straight exhaust. I bought it in march with 64,xxx miles. EGR service was just done the day I picked it up. All was well until april when I picked up our 9,000 lb camper. while towing I could smell a weird smell. It was fine if not towing, but then I would smell it sometimes under hard acceleration. Last night I noticed the truck making a spitting noise when I got home, and coolant was spitting out around the filler cap. I took cap off and that was the smell I was getting. Also noticed coolant level was low about a month ago but no puddles. It does not overheat at all or smoke. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the org. First, make sure your coolant level is at or below the min mark. Their is the revised coolant level from ford. You need a monitor to check deltas, the temp difference between ect and eot. Write Up: Monitoring the 6.0L PSD.
Unfortunately, you may have a clogged oil cooler, busted egr cooler, and/or blown head gaskets. Read all the stickies in each section.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.
