Thanks for all the replies and tips. Today I noticed while I idled down to cool the motor and turbo(5 minutes), I could smell raw fuel with the drivers door open. It was definitely coming from the engine compartment through the gap between the left fender and cowl. It's dark and raining now,but I'll dig into it tomorrow.

Thats what mine was doing when I noticed diesel fuel in the degass bottle. Kept smelling raw fuel on the drivers side of the engine, but only after driving it for awhile. Never smelt it in the morning before driving it either. Looked everywhere for a fuel leak and nothing found. Still cant figure out how the fuel smell escapes the degass bottle.

Yep. About to start the work to pull the heads off this week. Cooling system flushed and drained and ready to go. Just have to wait for time.

Wanted to update- the fuel lines that run from the frame mounted pump/separator to the lines coming off the front of the motor had a leak in one of the flex hoses. Bought new ones from Ford( about $137.00). They come with both lines and mounting hardware. They come as a pair. Please note that this could have been a serious fire issue. I read on here not long ago that a members' truck had caught fire and he was fighting with his insurance co.. My truck has only 102,000 mi on it. I would advise everyone to check these lines ASAP. If they look damp, change them.
