I really don't know that much to give ya a diagnosis. Have you checked your intake and make sure it seated properly? My mechanic found something had gone thru my turbo and it was making a similar noise. My filter was Afroengineered with a stock housing and a car air filter. So it was f-Ed when I got it.

if you're talking about the droaning noise, i wouldn't worry about that. it's normal on some of these turbos. did the dealer service the turbo or open it up?

Yes it's the droan or whine when the turbo comes down. I thought that maybe it was a gear whine from the trans but I makes the same noise if you free free the truck with the clutch in or the clutch out.
If you guys think its fine. I'll be happy. I pulled the intake. All looks good shaft play is hardly any. Am I just being super paranoid to a new sound?????? |

Check your turbo mounting bolts, and lookup the tsb I listed, it may apply to you.

My truck is a may 03 truck. But I'll look into the tsb. I'll check the bolts tomorrow after I wake up. I'm headed into work here soon. Sound does not seem to be getting worse either
![]() Edit I tech did not clean the turbo when it was in for the hpop repair |
