2004 #8 injector problem
I just recently took my 6.0 PS to my local Ford dealer because it was running a little rough. The diagnosis was the #8 injector is bad. Very Pricey! They called me back at the end of the day to tell me there was another problem. The injector was broke and parts are lost in the engine. They told me they would have to find those parts with a magnet or something. If they can't, they are telling me it will have to be taken apart and and rebuilt.
Can someone tell me how an injector can break and parts lost in the engine? Is this a possibility? I have a 120,000 miles on this truck and have taken great care of it. I am looking at about a minimum of $2500.00 repair and am losing sleep over it. Any advice?
