Well I heard that when the head studs have streched you will puke coolant out of the burp tank. I am at this point but I was told since the truck still runs fine I can drive it with no harm. How will I know when the headstuds are gone for good? Will the dealer replace them if they are just streched but my truck still runs fine? Any help would be great! Thanks

puking can be headstuds or EGR system. If you are under warranty i would just take it in and have it looked at. If the dealer will go for it buy yourself a set of ARP studs and have them install them under warranty

Thats wat i really want to do. I have 30,000 miles so I am still in warranty. I want some ARP studs and if they would put them in that would be great. I am gussing they will give me a problem because I have had a Hypertech Progrmmer in it?

Take your programmer off and run it for 100 miles or better. Unplug your batteries also.
Wish ya luck! |

We sell ARP headstuds to dealerships all the time. We have many local customers that buy them to have them installed at our local Ford dealership also. Our regional Ford warranty rep sends people to us also. I have never heard of a Hypertec stretching head bolts, but anything is possable. Its probably the EGR cooler plugged up.
