FICM lower half replacement on an '03

I just picked up a lower "half shell" for my FICM at an International dealer. Got my FICM out to start to swap over ,and I read in the directions, that if you remove the inspection cover on the FICM and you see seven screws, that you CAN'T replace just the lower half. It said you then need a new FICM. Sure enough, I popped my cover off and have seven screws. Am I screwed? Do I need to return the lower half and buy a whole new FICM?

Did some research, and found that a half shell for a 7-pin FICM doesn't exist. Oh well, I got my original FICM back in the truck (hopefully she keeps the truck ticking for a little longer), and got my money back from the dealer for the new half shell. Back to square one and figuring out what I want to do to fix my FICM.

Don't know about Swamps, but FICMrepair.com has an exchange program where they'll send one to you, you swap it out then send yours back. Doesn't take long either.

i replaced mine recently, part #5010598R92. as to cost, im not sure. cost me $100 through my work, which i get parts at 10% above cost. i cant remember the price for customers, but i wanna say it was between $175-$200. you'll have to pay the core charge, but just slap it on a credit card and they'll refund it as soon as you turn in your old halfshell. i can find out tonight on customer cost if you want.
