oil cooler leak after install PLEASE HELP - picture attached
I just finished installng a new ypipe and oil cooler. After i got everything put back together and checked for leaks, I found the rear coolant port on top of the oil cooler was leaking from underneath. I thought thatmaybe i didnt seat the seal well enough or something. I took oit al back aprt and checked it,it looked fine, I made sure all the orings were correct and everything was torqued correctly.
I got it all back together and crancked it up but it still leaks oil in the same spot. Very frustrating!!! It never leaked there with my old oil cooler. Ibought the new updated cooler from Tousley. Shouldnt this updated cooler mate up fine with the old houising cover? I cant figure out whyt this leaks witht the new cooler but not with old cooler. Im positive that all the orings are correct. Im worn out from taking all this apart! Please help! |

There really shouldnt be any leaking out of that plate as that is the coolant passage...
Maybe a crack in the cover?... |

Its got to be coming out from underneath the cover and up between the cooler and the top housing. i just cant figure out why now and not with the old cooler. The first thing that comes to my mind is the orings, but they are fine. Maybe it is cracked but i sure didnt see any cracks. ugggh
