so before the truck is fully warmed up i get a large puff of white smoke when i stop at a light, i have smelled the haze and it is fuel. i am going to be doing head studs in a few weeks and i wanted to know if i can tell and injector is bad or dripping if i look at it. i have had all the Injector tests done by the computer and it all comes back good

It's not good to run it like that, that can damage pistons, most especially if the tip is cracked, and a piece comes loose.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

You can useually tell if the tip is plum gone, but whether it is dripping or spraying correctly can only be done with special equipment [big big bucks] most injector rebuild companies (independants) don't own one. They exchange out with rebuilts that they get from even larger companies.

I guess if it's cracked fuel would likely show up in the oil, with heavy smoke?
