Noise at 1250 RPM and 42 MPH in O/D

I have a 2007 6.0 diesel with less than 30,000 miles. I have a noise that appears at 1250 rpm and 42 mph while the vehicle is in O/D mode. I lose power and there is a loud bellowing noise . It is short in duration but I can get it to stop by letting off the gas and then repowering up. Otherwise the throttle response is lost.

I have had it into the dealership and they indicated that it was the EGR valve opening up and is normal. The EGR valve weas replaced but it still continues. I am not convinced that is the problem because it happens quite frequently and is annoying. I have driven other 6.0 diesels and this did not happen in the same situation.
