Question BulletProof Diesel

Has anyone done this kit to your 6.0L?
I am currently deployed and getting the Bulletproof Diesel kit installed to my 2004 f250 6.0L And wanted to see what other people think of it.

This includes EGR Cooler, EGR Delete, and Oil Cooler.

Thanks guys!

If you can afford it BPD is the way to go. Superior quality products and GREAT customer service to boot.

On the kit, you can't have both an EGR cooler and an EGR delete. Its one or the other. Depending on what your emissions requirements are you can go either way. Since you are in CO I would recommend getting the cold weather package with the kit.

EDIT: Check out post #551 on this thread.

SWEET! I thought the part about a cooler or a delete was true. Thanks!

I just purchased the full BulletProofDiesel Oil Cooler Kit with Cold Weather Package. I just received it today actually and it is very well made. Quality of this kit is second to none. It is by far worth every penny and is the ONLY solution to oil cooler failures in the 6.0 powerstroke diesel.

Next question, the shop i took it to before I left is saying to replace the egr cooler (Colorado has emissions), replace and relocate the oil cooler, would cost around 5k to 5,500. Does this seem right? I had another shop in the area say the same rough estimate. seems pretty high to me. There might be more to the package?

The BPD oil cooler kit gives you the choice of ordering the EGR cooler with the kit. (BulletProof EGR cooler meaning it has a 0 chance of failing on you) That option in the kit costs a little more but is the only way to go if you wish to maintain the emissions equipment in your truck and never have it fail again.

When they quote you $5000-$5500 what all is going to be done to the truck?

Are they doing OEM head gaskets with ARP head studs as well as the other updates?

They did not mention anything about the studs but i asked. The guy doing the work is said to be in Hawaii so they put the work on hold for now. Whenever he gets back, i'm hoping to get all the details. Wondering If he's planning on my payment to pay his trip to Hawaii?

If that quote includes bulletproof egr cooler, bulletproof oil cooler setup, oem head gaskets, and arp head studs, I would say it is a decent deal considering the cost of materials is around $3000-$4000.
