no start on 05 6.0

Im new to these forums. I bought my truck back in march and have put about 8000 miles on it. The other morning I was on my way to work i was getting off the highway on to the exit ramp and before i came to a complete stop my truck shut off and the battery light came on. When i came to a stop i tried repeatedly to get the truck to stat but nothing. It would crank but would not start. Ive been doing a lot of reading and understand that the stc connector could be a problem. BUt i have yet to see anyone have this same time of issue where it drives ok and then just dies without warning. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated .

thanks ill check the ficm, i tried pulling codes yesterday but i guess it happened to fast to register codes bc there were no stored codes.
