2003 Turbo unison ring actuator
I am cleaning the turbo on my 03 6.0 Powerstoke. Can anyone tell me how easy or difficult it should be to turn the unison ring actuator? This one can be turned by hand but is very stiff.

it's going to be stiff unless all of the oil is out of the turbo. There are oil filled chambers and pistons in the turbo that move the actuator. The vgt solenoid is what directs oil to the different areas based on position
the inner diameter of the unison ring is what needs to be free from where it rides on the turbo center housing |
