Are you sure it's oil in the coolant and not fuel, maybe the oil issue is separate? Does is smell like diesel in the coolant bottle? I cracked the heads on my 05 at 180,000 and had fuel in my coolant as a symptom.

I guess I need to refraze my question. Did you change your oil cooler because it ruptuered and got oil in the coolant before and maybe didn't get it all flushed out.
Or is this oil is from a fresh source. There are only a few places where low pressure oil and coolant and come together. 1. The cooler itself either ruptured or a oil ring is damaged allowing the 2 to mix. 2. The front cover has a couple of places where they can get together by way of oring failure or cracked cover. |

First time replaced with stock ford cooler it didn't fail replaced bc I did egr delete and injector with high miles and yes I flushed the cooling system the first time. Where is the oil ring for low pressure r you referring to under the cover?

there is 4 count them 4 o rings in the oil cooler if either of the small outer o rings was pinched or torn oil WILL GET INTO OIL. I know changed my oil cooler and didnt see that one of the small black o rings had fallen off and I had 8 quarts go into cooling system. Took me FOREVER to get all the oil out of the coolant, and I still have some sludge pop up from time to time.
