Overhaul Parts

Doing a complete overhaul on a 2004 6.0. Are there a lot of strong opinions on here about using Mahle/Clevite parts, and Felpro gaskets etc? Anything to be sure to avoid?

Stay away from the black onyx head gaskets, go with ford only.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

There is tonnes of info already on this check the stickies in the general section of this forum. Also look at guys who have recently done this. Pretty sure "Tuscany" had a thread with all the part numbers he used.

I second that! Almost everyone I know who used Black Onyx gasketts had to crawl in there again. BO gaskets are thinner than Ford OEM gaskets and after you have your heads decked you start getting some tapping. Stick with the OEM gaskets.
