Question Removing passenger side oil rail.

I'm trying to take the passenger side oil rail off but the standpipe comes out with the rail and there's no room to pull the rail straight up. If I remove the hex bolt will the stand pipe stay in the head?

you are supposed to take the hex part out before unbolting the rail, you will need to start a few bolts back down to get it out, it is pretty tight (60ft/lb). it is the upper standpipe and the lower part should stay in the engine

sometimes the whole thing will come out when you unscrew the hex but it is 2 piece and can be seperated easily

its like the same length as the other dummy plug just has a long tube on it, the tube can stay in the motor, to pull it out you have to seperate the plug the tube and you can pull the tube out very carefully!
