Hard Start, Runs and then dies. HELP!!!
I have a 2006 Ford F-250 4x4 6.0L Diesel. Just replaced HPOP, IPR Valve, Stand pipes and plugs, half FICM, Oil Cooler, and EGR Cooler. Truck is hard to start, and dies out and wont restart until next day. IPR jumps from 14.9% to 85.9% while cranking and ICP will not build past 340psi then falls while cranking. HEELLPPPPP!!!!

Sorry to say it sounds like a high pressure leak. Something not assembled right perhaps.

Did you forget to do the updated one piece fitting when you put it back together? you definitely have a hpo leak going on. Air leak test will be your friend here.

^^^^^^^ What they both said X3. You are going to need to get into the top end again and put in the updated parts. Once done you should have a good solid engine
85% IPR is saying it all. |

The truck starts cold perfectly fine but one it reaches operating temperature it shuts down as if the key was turned off. Anything for that?

now could a bad pcm cause the truck to die when it reaches operating temp??

No you have a hpo leak.

^^^^^X2 What he just said.
The IPR controls your high pressure oil 100% the valve is completely closed and it does this to raise the oil pressure to make up for any loss in pressure, you should be no where near 85% while cranking and at the same time all the pressure it's making is 340??? You have a big leak in the hpo system. |
