dealer charge for head gasket replacement
What should a dealer charge to replace head gaskets? Would they have any problem doing arp studs? Ive done egr valve and cooler removeable, bluespring mod that is it? What should I have them replace when they are that deep? Thanks.

Oil Cooler?

Where is the oil cooler located and what does it look like?

And how much is the dealer suppose to charge for changing head gaskets?

All depends on the labor rate of the shop. Expect to be charged about 22 or so hours for doing head gaskets.
For JUST head gaskets, with machine work on the heads, OEM head gaskets, rocker carrier gaskets, dummy plugs, and ARP studs I charge $3300. Now anything extra like an oil cooler/STC fitting/updated turbo feed and drain lines will add more to it but not a whole lot. Minus parts it should only be a couple extra hours tops for that stuff. |
