Exhaust leak ?

So today I noticed that my cab would start to smell like exhaust when I'm sitting at idle. I also noticed that when I go WOT from a stop it blows a little black smoke. I heard that the smoke is normal due to the turbo not being spooled up at idle but I'm not sure if it has anything to do to with an exhaust leak I just wanted to throw that in there. I've had the truck for a little over 2 weeks now and it's been back to the dealer 4 times for all these little minor repairs which seem to cost a fortune. I'd like to try to trouble shoot this and maybe save some money this time because I'm starting to go broke with all these repairs. Any help or starting point would be greatly appreciated.

Get yourself an IDP long Y pipe to get rid of the crappy stock flex pipes that crack.

Eric, find a reputable diesel mechanic instead of going to Ford for everything. A lot of their mechanics do work on the side for half of the labor cost of the dealer. I used to use a ford diesel mechanic to work on my truck for $15/ hr and billed me for actual hours worked instead of book hours

Normally I would do that, but I spent 2 grand on an extended warranty. I brought it in to get a couple issued taken care of and they told me I had to wait 30 days after the warranty purchase before I could make a claim so I got stung for another 500 bucks to fix my air conditioner. In afraid that if I bring it in now they will deny me again since it hasnt been 30 days and it will wind up being something expensive.
