ipr replacement question
This is going to sound dumb, but I'm lost.
I finally got around to replacing the ipr valve on my 03 6.0l. I removed the degas bottle and the ficm to get access. I'm using an ipr socket to remove it. The original one required a breaker bar to bust it loose. The solenoid does look like original equipment. The new ipr screws in by hand no problem, but when it bottoms out the connector is pointing straight forward instead of up. Am I doing something wrong? Do I really need to try and tighten it another 1/4 turn to get it to line up? I'm afraid of breaking something. Is it suppose to be that tight? Thanks in advance |

The connector part can be spun to line up to the harness...at least mine did. I ran into the same issue when I did mine.
