hard to start after stc
I just replaced the stc fitting and stand pipes/dummy plugs in a 2006 6.0l, the truck had a hpop leak. Once done the truck took 3 or 4 minutes of cranking to start, did it have to get the air out and is that normal? After first start I only drove it a few miles it ran fine. The next day I tried to start it and it took a couple of minutes to start again, drove it for about 40 minutes. It will now start quicker but still seems to be cranking a lot more then it should about the same as before “I fixed it”
. Seems like it idles rougher too, will it get better the more I drive it or is there something else wrong maybe the ipc or ipr ?

It could just need to get the air out of the system from when u had everything drained out of it doing the work..... I was told by a ford master diesel tech to run the piss out of it for a little after changing my stc fitting.... I did and have had no problems with starts since jmo

Still the same
I've drove the truck enough to get the air out of the system, and it's still hard to start hot and cold. I can also hear a deep knock coming from the pasinger side rear is that the hpopgoing bad?

Only way to know for shure is have it scanned with a real scanner on live data while cranking. See what the PCM is seeing.
