I'm guessing it's an injector
First off 2006 F350, 168k miles on it. I'm getting cylinder 7 contribution code and the truck has a miss and seems to not have any power when getting up to operating temp.
I was thinking FICM but I get 48v from the FICM all the time. No smoke at all, truck climbs through the rpm range no problem. Seems to have all the power in the world. So is this definitely an injector? I thought about swapping some injectors around to see if the problem moved. Is that a good idea? ![]() EDIT: I am monitoring and all my gauges look good, delta never gets above 8 degrees even under hard acceleration. Last edited by dowmace; 07-26-2012 at 12:46 PM. |

It should tell you if that injector is shot. You just need to swap that one with another. You may have a bad oring....or read this. Why you shouldn't drive around with injector codes!
