I have an '04 F-250 6.0 diesel with an SCT SF3 tuner, EGR delete, and straight piped. It ran hot the other day for the first time so I let it cool down and added a little water. In a panic I to the cap off to fast (stupid) and alot of coolant shot out. Now, there is a whining noise I can hear from inside the cab at idle. It SOUNDS like it's on the driver side? I dunno. My steering got a little stiff the other day, could it be the power steering pump? PLEASE HELP!

maybe your coolant cap is venting, does it do it when you get on the throttle? Surley you could pop the hood and have someone turn the steering while you listen to the engine compartment. Why did it run hot, loosing coolant?
