Ficm voltage
I recently installed an edge monitoring system. My truck was giving me some signs that the FICM was needing replacing. However on my Edge monitor it shows that my FICM is running between 48 and 49 volts. How reliable is this? Has anyone had what the monitor say one thing but in actuality there voltage was signicantly lower? Thank you.

well it has a puff of greyish blue smoke when it starts in the morning. It also has an erratic start up. Sometimes it is Bang and it fires right up and the next it kind of grumbles to a start. I have no egr. Here are my codes.

You can still have problems with the logic side, that would throw injector codes usually. In short, just showing correct voltage does not mean your ficm is good, it just gives you a warm fuzzy.

well that's kind of what I was thinking. I mean for what it costs for a rebuild its relatively inexpensive and a good way to possibly clear up some issues.
