What to do with my 6.0

Hi, i have a 04 F350 diesel. the truck is used as a horse and thats about it, i pull a 35ft. 9000lb. camper and use it for hauling mulch/dirt. this truck is parked more than driven,it only has 42,500miles and i have had 3 turbos replaced! It is now at a local dealership and i'm being told the head gaskets,"EGT" issue and oil cooler and lines need replaced...all because of a lack of power. I am having the work done by ext. warr. and having head studs installed. My question is, is there anything else i can do to prolong the life of this truck IE: exhaust, intake or the like without spending a furtune to it? Thanks for any advise!

sure there is . The number one thing you want to is bullet proof it !! You need to click on the 6.0 forum and then ask about getting it bullet proofed for sure !

Thanks Dave! I'll head in that direction and see what we can come up with.

Start with this:
Write Up: Bullet-Proofing the 6.0L PSD.

When you get it back, get a monitor on it so you aren't back in a garage without knowing what is wrong (or preventing it from getting worse):
Write Up: Monitoring the 6.0L PSD.

The 6.0L is a great motor, and for an emissions compliant truck its as good as it gets. I won't be trading mine any time soon. Address the MY issues, get it studded (use OEM gaskets only), and enjoy it. If you want to add power later, let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.
