Map sensor vacuum hose help!!

So I'm currently working on my egr delete/ oil cooler and went to remove the map sensor and bracket off the heater box to allow or a little extra room being its extremely easy to remove. My question is, does the nipple in the intake come out? I removed the small clamp on the manifold side expecting to pull a hose off a fitting and the the whole fitting came out? Is this normal. The nipple just goes back in the intake. Not a real tight fit? Just making sure something isnt broke. The nipple doesn't appear to be cracked or appear to have broken. Thanks ahead

every one I have ever taken off has been a brass hose bib threaded into the intake.

It def didn't thread. It just pops in there but it's not a snug fit. I mean I barely pulled and it just popped out as a unit?
