How to Identify the year of my block?
Quick question, my truck is a 03 lariat crewcab dually. I bought a new 6.0L shortblock and I know its not the same year, the bedplate off my 2003 has the 6 holes in the middle of the bedplate that attach to the block but my new shortblock doesnt have those holes in the block.
I need to get a front engine cover, waterpump, oil cooler still and I fear that if I order a 03 they wont fit into this block Is there anyway to identify the block or will I just have to wing it. |

I'd start by contacting the folks that sold you the new block. I wouldn't wing anything here, they sold the product, and should be able to help with technical aspects of your purchase.

Thanks, I do plan on calling them tomorrow and figuring out what the heck is going on. I specifically asked for a 2003 shortblock so I wouldnt run into these problems. They also forgot to include a bunch of parts that I had requested.
Hopefully tomorrow they can sort this mess out. Thanks for the reply |
